Remember, what you eat affects your teeth the most. A well-balanced diet three times a day is not only good for your teeth, but also for your general health. Eating plenty of fresh vegetables, fruits, and nuts as snacks is great for your teeth. On the other hand, it’s best to avoid sugary, starchy and acidic food, as the bacteria in the mouth turns sugar into acid which attacks tooth enamel. This is the first step in tooth decay.

Cheese, peanuts, and sugar-free chewing gum make good snacks, as they are known to counter-attack acid attack on your teeth.

Drinking plenty of water will keep the mouth moist and prevent dry mouth. Our tap water contains fluoride to prevent cavities, so it is recommended to drink tap water over bottled water.
